Signal-Based Lead Gen · Insurance Agency

67 qualified meetings in 14 days.

A mortgage insurance agency came to us drowning in manual prospecting. Before PromptShift: paid lead lists that went stale, 10 meetings/month max. Pipeline was a constant bottleneck.

The Problem

The agency's business depended on conversations with mortgage lenders — not homeowners, but the brokers and firms who could refer or co-sell insurance to their clients.

Finding those lenders meant hours on Google, LinkedIn searches, manually scraping company sites. By the time there were 20 qualified prospects in the pipeline, half the data was stale. Cold emails bounced. Calls went to voicemail. A full week of prospecting yielded 2-3 meetings.

Hiring an in-house SDR would cost $6-8K/mo in US wages. Not sustainable until pipeline proved itself first.

What We Built

A signal-based B2B lead gen system consisting of 3 automated AI workflows:

  1. Workflow A — Weekly Monday 9 AM: Scrape fresh mortgage lender data from targeted sources. Filter out insurance agencies (not the ICP). Enrich with firm size, lending volume, tech stack.
  2. Workflow B — Daily 7 AM: AI-personalized email outreach to enriched leads. Every email references something specific about the firm — recent hires, loan volume updates, product expansions.
  3. Workflow C — Daily 8:30 AM: Reply handling, meeting qualification, direct booking to the founder's calendar with pre-call brief auto-generated.

Why It Worked

Signal, not spray. Instead of blasting 10K mortgage lenders, we found the ones actively expanding (hiring, new branch openings, growing loan volumes). That's the buying window.

Personalization that scales. Every email had one custom hook — referencing the firm's recent news, loan volume, or a specific broker they'd hired. AI wrote it. It read like we'd spent 20 minutes on each prospect.

End-to-end system. Not a tool, not a list, not a template. A running pipeline — source, qualify, send, reply, book — that runs without the founder touching it.
